December GCCCP was ready to take on another batch of ringworm kittens.
This time it would be five kittens that had been in the IHS ringworm ward for a long time.
IHS does all it can for ringworm cats and kittens, but because of the spaces and consideration to the other healthy cats, the ringworm kitties are kept in small enclosures, singles or litters. This is sad because single kittens are lonely, and litters take longer to heal because the close quarters make contamination inevitable.
GCCCP likes to take as many as we can at one time and move them to a large room with comfortable surroundings and natural light. We can continue the oral meds and lime sulfur dip baths, and sterilize their space.
After three weeks, three kittens were cleared for adoption!
Scott and Jubilee are left, and a bit lonely.
