Beth has been a supporter of ours for years. She called because she had seen an injured cat. It looked like he was using only 3 legs. We didn’t know how injured he was until we trapped him and took him to IHS. Half of his leg was ripped away, maybe bit off. It had happened recently because it was still bleeding. He was also missing an eye.
It is so amazing how tough cats can be.
After medical and emotional consideration this kitty was euthanized. The mass in his leg could have been responsible for the damage and it was a sign of cancer that had been spreading. I am so grateful for the caring staff at IHS.
We caught 2 other ginger cats in Beth’s backyard. One was a neighbor’s cat and the other was a big male IHS neutered, vaccinated and was returned.
