Carol H. kept her cell camera on 2 traps that were set up as feeder traps, or traps that did not close but had food in them. She watched every night to see if there were any new cats coming around. It had been about two months since we brought in the last abandoned litter of 4 kittens. Now Carol saw a momma that was, or had been, nursing. We watched for about a week and finally saw momma bring her 2 kittens to the traps. Because we fed at the same time every morning, we knew when the traps could be set with success. Planning makes trapping less stressful for the cats and the trappers. We trapped momma who was rehomed, two kittens who were taken in by IHS for adoption, and another female we returned after being spayed and vaccinated.
