From 37th street to Horseshoe Bend!

Here’s some exciting news! Twelve cats left Garden City!

Kathleen and Pat sold their property where they had been feeding a colony of 12 cats for many years. They were well cared for in an old milk truck, set up for all seasons.

They were excited to purchase property in Horseshoe Bend, and they thought the cats would be as happy there as they planned to be.

GCCCP trapped, neutered and returned Kathleen’s cats about 5 years ago. We had a wonderful donor who took over the food donations for this colony but when it came time to retrap and move 12 cats GCCCP was called in again. 😉

The move was difficult, and the cats had to wait their turn in the process. They were the last thing to go. We thought the cats would be trapped in the milk truck at feeding morning time but they were mostly trapped in the evening when they enjoyed treats by Kathleen’s back door.

GCCCP and Kathleen took three trips up to the new property where a catio was set up waiting for them.
