Fostering a momma and kittens is usually easy. But in this case Momma Fiesta was feral and she and her kittens had ringworm.
We set up a large kennel that fit a den for mom to hide in, and more room for the kittens to play.
The kittens were only about 2 weeks old, and it would take a month before they were eating on their own. At that point mom was returned to the location she was trapped and we started bathing the kittens in lime sulfur dip to treat their ringworm. It took another 2 weeks until the kittens were 2lbs and we started giving oral medication to increase their treatment.
It's best not to have expectations for recovery because each case is different. These kittens were covered with ringworm and we couldn’t start their treatment for 6 weeks, so we could only watch the ringworm get worse. It’s a long process but the kittens get healthier and cuter every day.
