Many people move into a trailer that has a cat colony from previous renters. The kind ones continue to feed and care for the colony. But most renters feel they are only responsible until they move out, and just leave the cats behind.
I remember when Sarah and Kyle moved in to their rental with a colony. They immediately contacted us to help with resources so they could care for their adopted colony.
SARAH is the caregiver GCCCP worked with to find Lola a home back at the beginning of 2023.
GCCCP was checking back with Sarah to see if she needed more cat food. They were moving and worried about their colony.
It turns out they had tamed four of the cats. I was excited to tell them Garden City had renewed its IHS contract and they could fill out an application for adoption intake!
What good news! All their tame cats were able to be adopted, thanks to Idaho Humane Society, compassionate caregivers, Garden City Community Cats Project and those of you supporting our work.THANK YOU!
