I broke a rule I can't seem to stick to. GCCCP paid medical costs for the amputation of Tailer's tail.
The tail had been scraped down to the nerves. Every move must have been excruciating. So after we neutered him at SNIP, we were grateful to get an appointment at the IHS veterinary clinic to have his tail amputated.
When you are willing to spend that kind of money on a feral cat that you will be putting back in the field, people can't decide if you are a saint or crazy, so they usually give you a discount just in case :)
