Our free-roaming cats, kittens AND dogs are cold, hungry and stay homeless! And the many caregivers have no resources. Free-roaming animals are not just feral cats. They include all lost animals.
Our dogs are second priority to all police issues, so they are of little interest among the huge development concerns.
Meanwhile
Idaho Humane Society had an AMAZING! September with 656 adoptions!! This may just be a record breaker: 402 cats found their forever homes and of those, 287 of them were 11 months or younger!
Dogs had a great month with 230 adoptions.
And they have the remaining pets in their Foster care. The great majority of those are felines, from all the other cities in Ada County EXCEPT GARDEN CITY. Those cities have a contract with IHS.
START INSISTING ON DECENT SERVICES FOR YOUR CITY AND YOUR ANIMALS!
