Many of our callers start out being anxious with an exclamation like “We need these kittens out of here!” But when GCCCP gets to the scene there are always people who care.

Jaz could hear kittens under the trailer from her office. She was assigned to the task of getting them out. Jaz was raised on a farm and had a lot of experience with cats. She listened and followed my instructions perfectly.

We set up an open-ended feeder trap at the opening where mom went under the trailer and put food in it for her every evening at the same time. With a camera on the trap Jaz was able to check daily to see when mom decided it was time to bring her kittens out and learn about food.

In about 2 weeks Jaz was so excited to see the kittens in the camera!

Mom and the kittens were comfortable in and around the feeder trap so we changed it out for 5 real traps and tied them up for a few more days so we knew the different traps wouldn’t make a difference.

No difference, so we set the five traps at 6 pm. This time we put a cell camera on the traps so I could watch from across town. At 10 pm the camera signaled motion. Three kittens in one trap, one in another and mom in one!

The next morning, we were off to Dorman IHS. The kittens went to the foster department and mom would be spayed, vaccinated and returned to Wholesale Auto Dealers where Jaz would feed her.
